Delete your account

In the Butterbase app (iPhone or Android)

1. Open Butterbase and sign in.
2. Tap More, then Settings.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
4. Type DELETE. If your account has a password, enter it.
5. Tap Delete my account.

In the web app

1. Sign in at my.butterbase.app.
2. Open Settings.
3. In the Delete account card, select Delete account.
4. Type DELETE, enter your password if asked, and confirm.

By email

If you cannot sign in, send an email to hello@butterbase.app from the address on your account. Write "Delete my account" in the subject. We confirm that the request is yours, then delete the account for you.

What is deleted

• Your profile, email address, password, and sign-in sessions.
• Every bakery where you are the only owner, with all of its data: recipes, inventory, orders, invoices, clients, products, production runs, receipts, and uploaded files.
• Your access to bakeries that have other owners. Those bakeries and their data stay with the other owners.

What is kept, and for how long

• Your data is removed from our production systems within 30 days. Encrypted backups keep a copy until they expire.
• Payments and payouts in your own Stripe account stay in Stripe. Butterbase does not close your Stripe account.

Delete data and keep your account

You can delete a bakery and all of its data without deleting your account.

1. In the app, tap More, then Settings, then Data & export.
2. Tap Delete this bakery. Only an owner of the bakery can do this.
3. Type the bakery name to confirm.

This deletes the bakery's recipes, inventory, orders, invoices, clients, products, production runs, receipts, and files. Your account and your other bakeries stay. To delete other specific data, send an email to hello@butterbase.app and say what to delete. The same retention applies as for a deleted account.

Before you delete

If a bakery that you own alone has a paid plan, cancel the plan in the web app first. You cannot undo a deletion, so export any data you want to keep.
