The Story
Butterbase started because spreadsheets suck.
We watched talented bakers burn out—not because they couldn't bake, but because they had no idea if they were actually making money. They'd spend hours Googling recipe costing formulas, tracking inventory in Notes apps, and hoping their prices were right.
The existing tools were either enterprise software that cost thousands per month, or generic project management apps that weren't built for food businesses. Nothing was designed specifically for home bakers and small bakeries who just needed the basics done right.
So we built Butterbase. Simple, affordable, and laser-focused on the things that actually matter: knowing your costs, tracking your inventory, managing your orders, and keeping customer information organized.
